Claire Lefort-Rieu is a PhD candidate in political anthropology at the Population and Development Center (Ceped), IRD / University of Paris. She studies the construction, governance and societal impact of humanitarian "crises" and responses. Under the direction of Laëtitia Atlani-Duault, her work currently focuses on the links between humanitarian aid, development and peacebuilding in Cameroon.
Her works deals with the specificities of faith-based humanitarian actors. She also published a book about Sabean-Mandaeans (Les Sabéens-Mandéens: premiers baptistes, derniers gnostiques, éditions du Cygne, 2017).
