Claire Lefort-Rieu is a PhD candidate in Social Anthropology at the Centre Population et Développement (Université Paris Cité, Institut de Recherche pour le Développement). Her research explores the construction, governance, and societal impact of so-called 'humanitarian crises' and international aid. After studying 'religious minorities' among Iraqi refugees (in Iraq, Jordan, France, Sweden), she now focuses on forced migration in Cameroon. Her research has been published in both French (Noria, Cahiers d'EMAM, Politique africaine, Cahiers d'études africaines, Suds, Afrique contemporaine) and English (African Affairs, Journal of Refugee Studies)."
