Maribel Flores Sánchez

Maribel holds a Master’s in Public Management from the Complutense University of Madrid, a Master’s in Quality Management in Local Public Administration from the Institute of Public Administration, and a Bachelor’s in Political Science and Public Administration from Iberoamericana University. Her academic background includes studies in International Relations, International Cooperation and Latin American Integration, Sustainability, Gender, Public Policy, and Project Evaluation.
Maribel is the Head of the School of Social Sciences and Government at Tecnológico de Monterrey in Puebla. As a Full-Time Professor in the Department of Political Science and International Relations, she has led projects focused on educational innovation, democracy and citizen participation, gender, anti-corruption, and public entrepreneurship, contributing over 15 years to academia. At Tecnológico de Monterrey, she has served on the Advisory Committee for the Center for the Recognition of Human Dignity and participated in the national academic networks Impulsa and WILL. She also founded the Citizenship with a Gender Perspective group in Puebla.
With more than 20 years of professional experience in public management and public policy across the public, private, and social sectors in Mexico, the United States, and Spain, she is also a Board Director of the Mexican Association of Political Science (AMECIP) and Chair of the Democratic Development Commission at the Employers’ Confederation of the Mexican Republic (COPARMEX) in Puebla. Additionally, she is a member of the Academic Council for Save Democracy, a civil organization specializing in the study and assessment of democratic systems and processes.
She has served as an international political and gender analyst for a Spanish association of women journalists, a designer and evaluator of projects promoting women's political participation, a supporter of women’s entrepreneurship in rural communities, a fundraiser for a foundation assisting homeless senior citizens, and a consultant for the design and implementation of evaluation tools within the public sector.
