Jad Baghdadi
Jad Baghdadi is a doctoral candidate at the University of Oxford, where he also teaches political economy in the Middle East. His research interests cover a wide array of themes, including state formation, market capture, sectarianism, and state-capital relations.
Jad has previously worked as a research analyst at The Economist and held research roles at the LSE Middle East Centre and the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights. He has also contributed to various media outlets, offering analysis on political and economic developments in the region.
Jad holds an MSc in Modern Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Oxford and a BSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics.
