Angie Ngoc Tran
Angie Ngọc Trần is Professor of political economy at the California State University Monterey Bay. Her research focuses on labor movements and resistance in Vietnam and transnational migration patterns of guestworkers. Her book, "Ethnic Dissent and Empowerment: Economic Migration between Vietnam and Malaysia "(University of Illinois Press, January 2022), focuses on the Kinh, Hoa, Cham Muslims, Khmer and Hrê, integrating ethnicity, class, gender, religion, cultural resources, and third space of dissent and empowerment.
