Barbara Gigi
After obtaining a degree in linguistic mediation at the Civic School for Translators and Interpreters in Milan, Barbara Gigi enrolled at EHESS, where she obtained a master's degree in Ethnology and Social Anthropology. After writing her dissertation on the ways in which the mafia phenomenon is communicated through the prism of return migration and an anthropology of silence, she is currently working on her thesis on the relationship between kinship and organised crime between southern Italy and the United States.
