Sixtine Deroure

Sixtine Deroure is a PhD student in sociology at University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. Her work focuses on martyr figures that coexist in post-revolutionary Egypt, and their link to the writing of competing stories. She is currently working in the field in Cairo where she has been living for more than three years.

She also teaches at the Faculty of Economics and Political Sciences at Cairo University and is a visiting scholar at the Centre for Social, Legal and Economic Studies and Documentation (CEDEJ).
