Guidelines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Noria\u2019s initiative aims to support qualitative research that enables a better understanding of the dynamics of violence in Mexico and Central America.<br>Our Editorial Board continuously receives proposals geared for a general public written in English or Spanish for publication on its website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The paper\u2019s object of study should be clearly defined, and relevant to Noria\u2019s Mexico and Central America program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Papers might be based on any of the MXCA Program\u2019s 3 axis of investigation (although not exclusively):\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Social Dynamics of Violence, Political Orders and Criminal Organizations;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Migration, Displacement, and Forced Disappearances;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Public Security Policies, Drug Policies, and Governance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can submit a proposal for a Program\u2019s Ongoing Series (in such case, please contact the Editorial Board directly).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Texts should be based on empirical research, and written for a general audience (please do not send an academic article).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The length should by no means exceed 2,000 Words, including footnotes (Harvard style). Bibliography and references should be kept to a minimum.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All the articles will be evaluated, reviewed, and potentially accepted for publication by MXCA\u2019s editorial team.
