After studying in the War Studies department of King’s College and in the department of Political Sciences in the Université Panthéon-Sorbonne, Lola Guyot is currently doing a Phd in the European University Institute. Her thesis is about the political engagement of diasporas in homeland conflicts, in war and post-war situations, with the Sri Lankan Tamil diaspora as a main case study. More broadly, her interests include migrations and civil wars – she is an associate researcher in the ERC project Social Dynamics of Civil Wars – with a geographical specialization on South Asia.
