Leonor Gonzalez is a Mexico Analyst. She studies public policy issues concerning urban transport, patronage, racism and citizenship. She coordinated the research program on Great Lake Ecosystems in Chad (French Embassy in Chad/Chad National Center for Research and Development) and taught in the Anthropology department at N’Djaména University (2013-2015). She holds a Master’s in Social Anthroology from the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS). She conducts research in Chad’s lake regions on questions of environmental policy, agricultural production and inter-ethnic relations. She has also carried out research in Mexico City on questions of rural exodus, food supply and racism.
